Our client mobilises investment in developing countries. The group is primarily funded by several governments but works closely with the private sector in a commercial manner.

Due to long term sickness, they are looking to recruit an Interim Group Head of Finance. This role reports directly to the CFO, with responsibility for Group Finance. You will play a key role in an organisation delivering measurable and real impact. As this is an interim role and you must be available at short notice.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Deputise and support the Group CFO as required
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders (governments) in respect of funding
  • Support and advise the finance teams across all group companies
  • Oversee accounts preparation, audit and lead the shadow trust books
  • Responsibility for financial accounting of the Holding company and Group finance functions (including treasury and cash management)
  • Preparation of monthly management reporting
  • Provision of support to the Group Audit committee and co-ordination of audits across the group
  • Oversight on the transfer pricing framework and related billing
  • Responsibility for corporation tax computations, VAT returns, PSA and P11Ds
  • Improving processes and controls in the holding company and around the Group, including supporting documentation
  • Management of the Service Level Agreements and process, including preparation of transfer pricing calculations
  • Liaison with other Group companies regarding intercompany recharges
  • Overseeing the quarterly Transparency reporting (including Director expenses and Legal contracts)

Requirements:

  • You will be a Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Strong IFRS knowledge, including IPEV guidelines
  • Financial services experience (wholesale banking and/or PE/VC and/or investment funds) and experience working with government departments or PPP arrangements and/or impact and value for money INGO’s advantageous.
  • Knowledge of international Tax and PAYE calculations
  • Strong Excel, report writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines
