Interim Group Finance Manager

Salary: £450 - £550 per day

Our client is a fast-growing, acquisitive PE backed group that has grown out of a number of different businesses with different backgrounds and processes. They have over 100 sites across England and Wales with the head office based in Berkshire. They are seeking an experienced Group Finance Manager to lead the financial reporting requirements of the group including the annual statutory audit and budgeting process.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the annual audit process being the key point of contact for our auditors to ensure the audit is performed efficiently and effectively and the annual audited accounts are filed on a timely basis.
  • Prepare and review all company accounts and underlying supporting data working with the accounts team to provide information to the auditors on a timely basis.
  • Design, implement and operate appropriate checks and balances to monitor the financial performance of the business including all checks and balances to ensure timely, accurate and relevant financial reporting.
  • Liaise with peers in the management accounting team to ensure monthly reporting is efficiently delivered.
  • Prepare and manage other statutory reporting such as VAT returns
  • Manage finance projects such as system upgrades, new build financial modelling and reporting.
  • Ensure the balance sheets of each company are fully reconciled and provide analysis and reports to management.
  • Ensure financial controls are operated correctly.


Key Experience

  • You will be a Qualified ACA or ACCA with experience working in industry
  • You must have strong IT and advanced Excel skills, and be comfortable using Power Query, XLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, pivot tables, data tables and data models.
  • Ideally experience in a multi-site organisation
