Interim Accountant

Salary: To £450 per day

A varied opportunity to join a fast-growing wholesale and retail business with offices internationally and a Head office in Southwest London. Due to growth, there is a need to increase the finance function and hire a Senior Finance Manager - you will directly support the Head of Finance, provide financial and operational support and oversee the smooth running of the finance department, it requires an organised and proactive individual to come in and hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

Working in a small team, responsibilities will include (but not be restricted to):

  • Analysis, preparation and development of monthly management pack (including balance sheet and PL),
  • Revenue, margin and stock variance analysis
  • Produce month and year end journals
  • Product profitability and trend analysis
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT returns
  • Assisting with budget preparation and reforecasting
  • Performing ad hoc reporting
  • Leading yearly audit
  • Team Development & Leadership

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Experience in preparation of month end reports and reconciliations
  • Strong Excel, analytical and numerical skills – confidence in VLOOKUP, SUMIFS and combinations of these as a minimum
  • Multi-currency experience
  • Can independently and creatively problem-solve and apply strategic thinking to complex financial policies, processes and problems
  • Experience managing a team desirable
  • Comfortable working from office as well as from home – hybrid working available
