Interim Project Analyst/Finance Manager (6 months plus)

Our client is a leading, Private Equity Backed, Multi-site business which is growing at an exponential rate. As part of the continuing scale there is a requirement for a Senior Project Analyst/Accountant to join the finance team on a fixed term contract (FTC) basis. This role will focus on ongoing projects in the business and taking a key position in providing financial input and oversight as they progress. This role will be required to work collaboratively across the Finance function (between the Financial Control, FP&A, Tax and Corp Finance teams) and with the wider business and investors as required. This is a key role with requirement to provide updates to and provide analysis for C-suite (CEO/CFO) and potential presentation at senior/Board level audiences. You must be available at short notice.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Financial Controller and Finance Director (and CFO/CEO where relevant) on ad-hoc projects
  • Leading and co-ordinating on projects as the representative of the Financial Control team
  • Conducting analytical review of project appraisals and project cost control (budget/forecast)
  • Works closely with FP&A, Tax and Corporate Finance teams to provide insight and assist in the delivery of key projects and workstreams
  • Preparing ad hoc reports and analysis on request


Key requirements for the role:

  • You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
  • Collaborative / Team player with excellent communication skills Demonstrates requisite attention to detail but able to assimilate and synthesize complex data in a timely fashion
  • Articulate and able to interpret transactional level financial data into coherent summary
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & experience of Aareon QL
