Interim Financial Controller (FTC 14 months)

Our client is at an exciting point in its journey having recently become part of the leading SaaS analytics platform serving the global institutional investment community.

Salary: £75,000- £90,000 depending on experience, plus benefits and bonus

The opportunity has arisen for an FC to join the team, on a fixed term contract until September 2022.

Reporting to the FD ,this role is an ideal opportunity to use an already broad skillset and gain career enhancing experience in a leading edge, global SaaS business. The team is high quality and as the business is at a point of great change ,whilst the role is a fixed term contract, the profile and deliverables of the role will be permanent.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions and manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
  • Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements and coordinate activities of external auditors
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes as well as providing management with financial information vital to the decision-making process
  • Create strategic plans for financial operations and develop and monitor business performance metrics
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
  • Supervise accounting and finance departments, including payroll
  • Assess current accounting operations, software and controls offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
  • Coordinate procurement activities
  • Assist with M&A due diligence and integration of acquisitions

Candidates will be

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial finance,
  • Good experience in financial reporting requirements
  • Experience in a SaaS / software environment would be useful
  • A balance of detailed, analytical skills with the ability to see the broad perspective
  • Experience using various accounting software and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the firm
  • Excellent and highly accurate math and accounting skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
