Interim Finance Director

Our client is a rapidly scaling luxury retail brand with ambitious international growth plans. They are now looking to recruit a Finance Director who can manage a small finance team of 8 people, whilst also focusing on considerable forward looking project work. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a highly driven management team for a 9 month FTC.

Main duties:

  • Finance and management reporting function, supporting the Board through the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial reports and providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.
  • Manage systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company’s finances, including the financial control framework.
  • Supporting and partnering with the Board to deliver the Company strategy.
  • Financial leadership of potential bolt-on acquisitions.
  • Ensure robust cash management.
  • Audit function of the overseas businesses and supervision of long term business plan.
  • Ensure that accounting policies comply with relevant accounting standards and that company policies are followed.
  • Company Secretariat, tax returns and reports for Government regulatory agencies


Experience:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Experience of retail (ideally premium end) and/or FMCG where there has been a strong focus on product margins and inventory management.
  • Experience of working in an international, multi-currency business.
  • A strong and up to date working knowledge of IT systems and process management. Prior experience and working knowledge of ERP system.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to work closely and communicate with both financial and non-financial people.
  • Experience of managing a small team.
  • Ability to deliver fast ‘helicopter view’ commercial financial analysis as well as bottom up detailed modelling.
