Interim Financial Controller (1 year FTC)

Salary: c. £100-100k + excellent bonus and excellent pension

Our client has developed a successful e-comm and retail model and offers a differentiated proposition. With a substantial number of sites and more opening, they are focussing on further growth opportunities and excellent marketing which has resulted in e-commerce growth as well. Due to maternity leave they have a need for a hands-on Interim FC to lead the finance function, reporting to the CFO, alongside the Head of Commercial. This would suit an experienced finance professional who can manage the finance team and focus on improving processes and controls You must be available at short notice. Please note they operate a hybrid model with 4 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversea day to day management of the finance team
  • Produce timely, accurate monthly and annual reports to identify trends and financial forecasts – with the support of an experienced Finance Manager
  • Oversee company accounts, P&L, Balance Sheet
  • Support month end review and review of Supplier income calculation and billings
  • Oversee and manage treasury functions including preparation of daily cash flow forecasts and monitoring of cash availability
  • Update forecasts
  • Ensure a rigorous control environment across systems and processes
  • Support audit enquiries

Key requirements for the role:

  • You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
  • Ideally retail/multi-site experience
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a finance team
  • Quick thinking, decisive and high energy
  • First class organisational skills with ability to see things through.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Track record in analysis, modelling and forecasting
