Interim Senior Funds and Project Accounting Manager

Our client mobilises investment in developing countries. The group is primarily funded by several governments but works closely with the private sector in a commercial manner. As part of the exciting long-term plans for the group, they are looking to recruit a Senior Projects specialist to assist the CFO.

Role and Responsibilities

  • To help model the project portfolio (early-stage projects in emerging markets) to develop a consistent MIS / dashboard and business case template for investment committee
  • As a wider piece of work, to support the overall rollout of ‘financial sustainability’ across the group
  • To help with enhancing value for money and efficiency reporting (for fund managers and
  • To support work on implementing the mobilisation structure
  • To examine the processes and subsid reporting to make them operate as consistently and efficiently as possible

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA);
  • Exposure to fund management / PE / ESG / climate change issues
  • Ideally some emerging markets experience
  • Able to work independently across cultures / geographies (maybe a little travel in the role), influencing and analytical skills etc
  • Strong Excel, report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines.
